ZCash is exploring converting the Electric Coin Company into a non-profit
In response to gentle but firm pressure from the Zcash community, the Electric Coin Company has been investigating the possibility of converting to a non-profit:
Tierion launches a Javascript implementation of Lightning Labs’ “Lightning Service Authentication Tokens” (LSATs), which allow for authentication using Bitcoin’s Lightning Network
LSATs enable secure and private authentication using Bitcoin Lightning payments. Today we’re debuting a collection of open source tools for developers to create their own LSAT enabled applications.

Rho will let you create on-chain swaps for DeFi interest rates
Today I’m releasing Rho, a full spec for an on-chain interest rate swaps protocol designed as an automated market maker. With Rho, traders can open positions directly with the protocol at any time instead of having to wait for a counterparty.
The next iteration of defi is coming.
First, we got hard money.
Then, updated the programmability of the money.
Next, we used the money as collateral for variable rate loans.
Soon, we'll swap variable rate loans for fixed-rate loans.
